Chart 1, "Percentage of Aboriginal Population: Indian, Métis and Inuit" is a pie chart that is divided into different coloured sections depicting the different percentages of the aboriginal population. In this case, Aboriginal is used as category encompassing three types of Aboriginal people, Indian, Métis, and Inuit. A legend is provided on the left side of the chart to identify which colours of the pie chart represent which Aboriginal type. Each section of the pie represents the percentage of the Aboriginal population a particular group consists of. 5% of the Aboriginal population is Inuit, 26% is Métis, and 69% is Indian.
