Figure 3 is a horizontal bar graph that illustrates the median number of referrals annually for youth justice committees in each province/territory. The x-axis indicates the median number of referrals, ranging from 0 to 160. The y-axis lists the jurisdictions: Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Newfoundland, Ontario, Manitoba and Alberta.
The results show that YJCs in Ontario have a substantially higher median number of referrals (about 150) than the other provinces and territories. After Ontario, the next highest median number of referrals comes from Alberta (60), followed by Newfoundland (about 25), Northwest Territories (20), Nunavut (about 17) and Manitoba (about 16).
