This project will support the collaboration and training of courtworkers and community partners on important legislative changes. The work of Aboriginal Courtworkers goes beyond the court, they are a vital link to communities receiving information. As a result of the training, Courtworkers in Manitoba and Saskatchewan will have an increased capacity to develop effective tools and strategies for incresing courtworker client awareness of the new legislation. This will support clients who want to leave prostitution or who are otherwise victims of sexual exploitation. The partnership will additionally enhance community collaboration of the Ma Mawi Chi Itata Centre and other justice service providers, including community justice workers.
